Arc Flash & Shock Hazard Study

Per OSHA, the employer shall assess the workplace to identify, communicate and protect against potential electrical hazards. An arc flash and shock hazard study determines the rating of personal protective equipment to be worn when performing work on or near exposed energized equipment. The deliverables for this study include labels, specific to each piece of equipment analyzed, which define the risk at that location in the power system. This study is required to be updated at intervals not to exceed five years.
